The following animations give an impression of what ArisFlow is, how it works and how easy it is to create a functioning flowchart.
All animations are AVI files. You will need an application which is capable of playing AVI files, such as Windows Media Player. To get a quick impression of these animations, a smaller preview is available for each of them. The animations can be viewed directly, or saved to disk. When saved to disk, you can choose between a zipped version (Windows) and a gzipped version (UNIX). These files can be uncompressed with applications such as WinZip, PkZip or gzip.
- Creation of a flowchart in which two input files are processed by an application to produce an output file: afcreate.
- Designing of an ArisFlow flowchart;
- Linking of data elements in the flowchart to real data files;
- Assignment of descriptions to the various elements of the flowchart;
- Linking of an action element in the flowchart to an application (a "growth-model");
- Definition of a command line to execute the growth model;
- Execution of the growth model.
- Colours in the ArisFlow flowchart:
- Grey: element is not yet defined;
- Blue: element represents input data;
- Red: element is not up-to-date, needs to be executed;
- Yellow: action element is executing;
- Black: element is up-to-date, has been executed;
